Pyrole acts by contact and has good translaminar diffusion. Pyrole acts by inhibiting the secretion of methionine, an essential precursor for fungal protein synthesis. Pyrole inhibits the secretion of hydrolytic enzymes by fungi, hindering their ability to degrade plant tissue and infect the plant.
